Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American actor and musician who began her career with innovative raps which addressed gender and ethnic identities from a an edgy, comical perspective. Her career then grew to Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese as well as Korean parents in Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was Nora's first instrument. In the following years, she took up the classical and hip-hop genres. When she was in the college years, she remained focused on her studies, and then studied women's studies and journalism. For a brief period of time, in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were offered as well. However, it wasn't until she graduated when she decided to turn her attention to music. The track My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity through the Internet in 2012. It was eventually included on the album debut Yellow Ranger released in 2014. The album also contained viral hits including body-positive Queef and winking tour of her home NYC Bitche$. The single that debuted was specifically linked to The Awkwafinas Guide to NYC, her 2015 travel guide. After a successful career as a musician She decided to take on the role of an actor. Alongside early TV shows like Girl Code and Tawk she appeared in films like Neighbors 2, Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018 she landed her first major role in a number of high-profile films like Dude Ocean's Eight and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released by In Fina We Trust in June of the year.
