Anamaria is a Romanian actor. She made her screen debut through Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film Sex Traffic and was the recipient of the British Academy Television Award for the Best actress. French, German English fluently. Her father is the director of the theater at one of Romania's top theater schools. She was awarded the Best Female Actor Award for the Year in 2000 at the Gala for Young Actors in Mangalia. The European Film Promotion Board named her an European Shooting Star in 2008. Her performance in Romanian art-film 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days is remembered as well. It won her numerous prizes, including the European Film Award Best Actress for the London Film Critics. She starred in Cristian Mugiu's Romanian film "4 3 weeks, 4 months and 2 zile" (4 Months Three Weeks And Two Days) that won her the Palme d'Or award at Cannes Film Festival 2007. The film also won two additional awards: the Cinema Prize of French National Education System (FIPRESCI Prize) and the Cinema Prize. In addition, she appeared as the child character in the film of Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she appeared as Yasim Anwar on the BBC 5-episode miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca played roles in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven as well as the Romanian Drama Boogie. Then she was Irma's German Aunt in Fury the film, which came out in 2014.
