Jessica Chastain

Jessica Chastain is an American actress and film producer known for her portrayal of strong-willed women in films with feminist themes. The winner of a Golden Globe Award, she has been nominated for two categories of the Oscar. Her birthplace was California which is in the US and began to develop an appreciation in acting as she watched the play Joseph and the Amazing Tecnhicolor Dreamcoat. Her stage debut professional was in a play of "Romeo and Juliet" as well as her film debut with her role in the drama film "Jolene". Her popularity grew with the roles she played in films like "Take Shelter", "The Help", "Mama" and Interstellar. Her role on Zero Dark Thirty won her the Golden Globe Award under the category of Best Actress'. She has a reputation for playing female characters who have flaws. Her characters often advocate female ideals. An outspoken feminist, she is known for her loud pro-equal pay for women and has rejected works which she believed were offering unjust pay.
