Alanis Morissette
Alanis Nadine was born 1 June 1974, in Ottawa, Canada. Alanis' Greek is a female variant of Alan's father's surname. She has two siblings: Chad (Alanis twin) and Wade. She started playing the piano at age 6 and the guitar at the age of 21. In 1986 Alanis made a single called Fate Stay With Me (b-side: Find The Right Man). In her Canadian career as a dance-pop performer her albums include: Alanis (1991), and Now Is The Time (1992). She moved to Toronto at the age of 18 and started working with writers and musicians, but the collaborations didn't work. Her first love came to her in 1994. Glen Ballard. He had previously worked with artists such as Aretha, Michael Jackson, and Barbra. After moving to LA, she turned 19 in the year 1994. Madonna released "Jagged Little Pill" the song on June 13th, 1995. Alanis discovered a method of writing songs that was autobiographical and extremely personal. JLP is the third-highest-seller album ever and was sold over thirty million times across the world. Her emotional conflict (she might have considered not releasing an album) as well as a journey to India.
